Spitfires Foundation Donates $9,000 to ICG

On May 6th, Spitfires President and Head Coach Bob Boughner was on-hand at the Devonshire Mall to present a cheque for $9,000 on behalf of the Windsor Spitfires Foundation to organizers of the 2013 International Children's Games.

The money, which was raised at the 'Breakfast With The Spits' event in the Fall of 2012, will go to support athletes at the games, which run August 14th to 19th here in Windsor. 

Boughner said supporting the games was a no-brainer.  

"The Windsor Spitfires Foundation is pleased to support the athletes of the 2013 International Children's Games. The event reflects our organization's core values and the foundation's recognition of the positive role that competition and sportsmanship play in the overall development of young athletes. We wish all the participants, organizers and volunteers all the best at the event this summer."
